License

What you can do with the files under the personal license (one vehicle) or the commercial license (CNC shops, unlimited units).

This is a courtesy translation. The Spanish version is the legally binding one.

01What this license is

Each VanCut Studio design is sold under one of two licenses, which you choose before paying and which appears on your receipt: Personal or Commercial. Both let you use the files; neither transfers ownership of the design to you.

02Personal license

It allows you to:

  • Cut and assemble the design for one (1) vehicle that you own or use personally, as many times as you need for that vehicle.
  • Take the files to a CNC shop so they cut the parts on your behalf.
  • Modify the files to adapt them to your van.

It does not allow you to:

  • Sell, give away or share the files, original or modified, in any format.
  • Produce parts for third parties, even on a non-profit basis.
  • Publish the files on the internet or in groups.

03Commercial license

Intended for CNC shops, van converters and woodworking shops. It allows you to:

  • Produce the design for your customers, with no limit on units, from one (1) shop or business entity.
  • Charge for the cut or assembled parts and for installation.
  • Modify the files to adapt them to each vehicle.

It does not allow you to:

  • Sell or hand over the files to other shops or to your customers (they receive the parts, not the files).
  • Present the design as your own in catalogs or advertising without crediting VanCut Studio.
  • Sublicense. If you work with several shops, each one needs its own license.

If you bought a personal license and later want to use the design commercially, write to us: you pay the difference.

04Modifications and derivatives

Modified versions of the files remain under the same license as the original. You may not register a design derived from ours as your own.

05Term

The license is perpetual for the version of the design you bought. If we publish a revision of the same design, you can download it from your account at no charge while it is available.

We may revoke the license if you breach these conditions; in that case there is no refund.

06Warranty and support

We guarantee that the files open in standard CAD/CAM software and that the parts fit together when cut with the bits and thicknesses stated on the datasheet. If you find an error in the design, we fix it and send you the new version.

Email support covers questions about the files and the assembly; it does not cover operating the machine or designing new parts.
